| Content: | At the end of Semester 1, the student should be able to design object-oriented solutions to programming problems, implement working solutions to programming problems using good coding and documentation styles and explain basic concepts of computer science such as algorithms, abstraction, encapsulation and inheritance. Students may also take the class for college credit (CS 125) at BSU. Information will be available in September. This portion of the class will be completed by the end of Semester 1.
Projects in programming will involve students developing a software product through all phases of the development cycle. Project management, legal and ethical issues as well as current trends in programming will be emphasized. This semester will also focus on students completing an industry standard certification exam. |
