Mrs. Heesch`s Senior Economics class had a lively labor and wage dispute simulation this week. The class was divided into groups which acted as either management or employees attempting to negotiate a compromise. Some of the students were chosen to act as arbitrators to help find solutions. Many agreements were reached, but one unfortunate individual was "fired" after being unwilling to compromise. The exercise included a lot of laughter, various demands, animated debate, and a deeper understanding of both sides of the issue.
